https://www.educationcomesfirst.org/
Education Comes First (ECF) is a nonprofit foundation committed to ensuring that out of school time programs maintain a high level of education that helps build confidence, social well-being, and foster lifelong passion for love and learning.
ECF has committed to a long-term partnership with Boys & Girls Club of Tabula Rasa to provide reading and math programming to youth in Madison, Liberty, Calhoun and Jackson Counties. CEO Kevin Kidd said, “These funds have enabled us to hire additional staff, improve our technology and create innovative programming centered around reading and math.”
The program requires youth to spend up to 10 hours programming in reading and math. This program includes teacher led activities, individualized learning through the Khan Academy online tutoring program, and incentives for youth who participate in the program.
We are extremely grateful for what ECF has done for our kids and excited for the future opportunities this funding is going to create.
